This is a painting that I created out of respect for the elders of Canada. The drum represents the heart of the people while the eagle represents healing and strength. An Elder in our culture, is an individual who has knowledge to help our people grow and unite with one another.

An Elder is treated with respect because of the wealth of service to they’re community and abroad. An Elder has control of their emotion, and will never strike or hurt another person in any way. The title of ‘Elder,’ would be taken away should one loose control. It is a huge responsibility as they are guiding the younger generations to the right path.
