Where Dragonflies Dance
Paradise let us in one day
to play in its Magic...
We ran through the wild flowers
and ate fresh fruit
While dragonflies circled us like
flying jewels.
I can never go back there now that
I¹ve grown.
If I could, it would
never be the same. |

A few years ago, I went back to Bradford Avenue in Sidney, BC, where I lived for part of my childhood. The landscape, which was once overgrown in sections by orchards, now is covered with townhouses and apartments. This painting allowed me to detach and see the progress, rather than the destruction of the land.
