Little Hummingbirds
They move with the grace of a doe,
And the speed of light and amaze the Elders,
Who have come to see them dance,
To remember their youth.
So confident and self assured...
Their power comes from their ability
To bring tears to the eyes of their mothers,
And rythym to the hearts of humanity. |

This particular dance was on an island off of Vancouver Island, which I saw with both of my sons. These two little girls had amazing memories and voices, and were very talented. I was mesmerized by the colors and how excited the girls were to perform their hummingbird dance. I took this photograph and drew it, and tried to capture their expressions just before they performed.
